Our Aunt

I have many great childhood memories of Tante Miet. We used to have so much fun visiting as children with her big family. We always felt very welcomed to her home. She always had lots of potatoes for us all. We had so much fun when it was sleepovers, we had beds made everywhere. Two big chairs pushed together made the best bed, who would have thought of doing that but Tante Miet. Ill never forget the times we used to go when it was Smelt fishing time and they lived at the lake. Us kids got so excited that we could go to the Gerrits house to fish on Lake Ontario,with a big bonfire going and then sleep over and the next day clean the fish (that part wasnt so great). But for sure, great memories, your house wasnt just a house, it was definitely a home. You will be missed by us all.
