I remember a very fun, happy, vibrant woman, and a great mother and wife. Joyce's kids grew up with my kids from a very young age when we lived on Islington Avenue in Rexdale (Cara and Phil). Cara and Sharon were attached at the hip, wherever one went the other went. Cara would talk on-and-on about how Sharon's mom made the best homemade French fries on the planet and would always ask why I couldn't make them as good as her. I swear she would go to Sharon's house and beg for fries! I never heard the end of it!! She will always be in our memories. I would like to take this moment to say how sorry I am for your loss, your family will miss her very much, but know that she is always by your side.

Deepest sympathies for Uncle Martin, Roger, Sharon and families. Aunt Joyce was a woman who epitomized the word kind. She was so very giving and looked after everyone and everything as if they were her own children. One of my fondest memories is of her cooking extra chicken for our dog Monty! Pat couldn't believe it. But that was Aunt Joyce. She will be missed, but she is now at peace.

So many might claim she was like a mother to them because she treated all her nieces, nephews and children's friend's like they were hers. Her heart was just that big. I am one of those people.
