McLAUGHLIN, James Lorne -
October 30, 1929 - November 1, 2018
(Retired Captain of the Toronto Fire Department). Peacefully in Georgetown at the age of 89. Dearly beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee Friel) and Theresa (Smythe nee Roy). Beloved father of Colleen, Noreen (Don) Foreman, Paula, Laura (Tim) McKendry and Karen (Bruno Moro). Predeceased by his son-in-law Tony Chiarantano. Cherished grandfather of Steven (Jenn), Tara, Leah, Michelle, Amanda, and Clare and great-grandfather of Little Lorne. Dear brother of Beverly (the late Bryan) Hopper and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the many family and friends who visited Lorne in Georgetown. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral in the chapel on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
