Obituary for Jeanette Aileen Kirkbride (Mackie)

Jeanette Aileen Kirkbride (Mackie)
KIRKBRIDE, Jeanette -
While she was enjoying the peace and quiet of her beautiful apartment, her number finally came up! 73!!! Sunday, October 14, 2018. She died how she lived lately...alone, but, with her feet on the ground and a smile on her face. “Happy Trails” song playing as her credits roll by now. Predeceased by her adoring 5th husband, John (2002), and tolerating parents Kathleen (Hamilton) and Herbert Mackie. Cool mother of Scott (2012) (Debbie) (2009), Andrea and Shane (Julie-Ann). Evil step-mother of few, lovingly called “Mom” by hordes, and a caring friend to awesome people only. They all know who they are! Entertaining Gramma of Wallace (Lacey), Morgan (Blossom), Mikaela, Felicia, Angela, Sam and anyone else who enjoyed her incredible cooking. Brat sister of Joanne, Pat (2016), Alex (Susan) and Suzanne (Ron) Simpson. Glamourous aunt and crazy cousin of many. Will she will be missed? “Like a hole in the head,” her notorious quip at every given opportunity! This Saturday, October 20, 11am Internment at Mount Lawn Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby...followed by a Celebration of Life Luncheon, Noon-3pm at Bathe Park, in the clubhouse, 298 Eulalie Avenue, Oshawa. Additional parking on Oshawa Blvd. along east side of the park. Bring your baseball stuff to play! Shenanigans at Riley’s Pub,105 King Street East, around 5. Memorial donations to Ebenezer United Church would be greatly appreciated. Condolences may be expressed at wctownfuneralchapel.com.
