The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Dawydchak can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Fred Merritt
Condolence: Dear Joanne, Di, and Andrew,

I am so sorry to read of your George’s passing. He was such a loving person. Mr. Winter had told me back in June that he had little time left to live and I could not believe it as he was so young. He has always been my best and dearest friend on Prince George Drive ever since your family bought that house beside the Arnones. He treated me with respect and genuine love and I will always miss my “favourite photographer.” Our house at 58 Prince George was sold last November and my father and I moved into Tapestry Retirement Home on Dundas and Kipling, so news of the old neighbourhood does not reach me. But I am hoping that your “DnA” will gone on forever in his memory. I can see George was the impetus behind it. Once again, allow me to extend my deep condolences on behalf of all the Merritt family who used to live five houses up from you.

Condolence: Dear Joanne, Andrew & Diana
We were deeply saddened to hear of George's passing. Gord and I just found out through Debbie. George was our DJ when we got married in 1983. Debbie and I grew up on Wyndale Drive and played as kids together with George. He was truly a great man and had a great smile. Even though Gord and I haven't seen him for years, we never forgot him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marianne & Gord Graff

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear about George and would have attended the memorial had I heard sooner. Dan, the kids and I are thinking about all of you at this difficult time. I can not even imagine the pain that you and the kids must be going through. George was always friendly, energetic and seemed like a great dad. He will be missed.

Condolence: Dearest Joanne, Andrew and Diana... I was shocked to hear of George's passing. I spoke to him not too long ago and he was his usual, happy and caring self. George photographed my daughters' Communion and was my school photographer for years. He was always professional and had outstanding talent. George was amazing with kids and my staff always loved him. I always considered George a friend and I'm saddened by his passing.
