Obituary for Alfreda Evelyn Princiotto (Quesnelle)

Alfreda Evelyn Princiotto (Quesnelle)
PRINCIOTTO, Alfreda “Freda” (nee Quesnelle)
(January 13, 1948 to July 14, 2018) -
Bravely, and with a light heart, Freda peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, following a six-year battle with ovarian cancer. Freda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Sam; children Anita and Michael; Tina and Joe; Stephanie and Lorenzo; grandchildren Maya, Tia, Ewan, Nathan, Allegra and Matteo; sister Margaret (Peggy) Cyr. She is fondly remembered by her many sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren as well as countless friends. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she attended many dance recitals, awards ceremonies and school concerts. Her family brought her great joy and she always placed their needs before her own. Freda touched the hearts of many people and will be remembered for her warm smile and positive attitude. Freda’s life was full of happy moments and she enjoyed travelling, dancing, gardening and baking – she was famous for her no bake cheese cake. She will be forever missed. Visitation will be held with W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Wednesday, July 18th 2018 from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. A mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby on Thursday, July 19th 2018 at 10:30am followed by the entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. The family would like to thank Dr. Freedman and the staff at Lakeridge Heath Cancer Centre as well as the Doctors and Nurses of the Lakeridge Heath Oshawa Supportive Care Unit. In memory of Freda, donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Canada, St. John the Evangelist Church and Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Palliative Care. The family encourages you to share your photos and memories at www.wctownfuneralchapel.com.
