Obituary for Jerome Edward Silliker

Jerome Edward Silliker
SILLIKER, Jerry -
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome (Jerry) Edward Silliker (born. November 20, 1943), who died peacefully Friday, January 5, 2018. Jerry will be joining his beloved wife of 49 years, Heather, who preceded him in death June 27, 2014. Much-loved father of Leslie Susanna (Angelo), and Troy Silliker (Laïta). Jerry leaves behind his three adoring grandchildren Zachary, Melody and Jeremy Susanna. Son of the late Ward Silliker and Freda Payne, Jerry is predeceased by his siblings Muriel (Loyal), Ella (Kenny) and Huxley. Jerry is survived by his siblings Elmer (Elizabeth), Ruthann (Jimmy), Mary, and Stephen (Roberta), and an extended family of nieces and nephews. Jerry was an easygoing, loving family man for whom sports was his greatest pleasure. He will be sure to be rooting for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs from the great beyond, cheering them on to their long-denied Stanley Cup. The family would also like to thank Etobicoke General Hospital palliative/hospice care staff who took great care of Jerry in his final days. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30am. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Etobicoke General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com
