Obituary for Elsie Olga Yarmol (Stoyko)

Elsie Olga Yarmol (Stoyko)
Elsie (Lesia) Olga Yarmol (neé Stoyko) -
(December 20, 1935 - October 10, 2017)
A day after celebrating Thanksgiving with her family, Elsie passed to join her beloved husband Paul of 46 years. Cherished sister to Sonia Stoyko; devoted mother to Paula Lytwyn, Karen Yarmol-Franko (Ivan Franko), and Christina Yarmol (Eric Matusiak); adoring grandmother to Deanna Duff (Blair), Kalyna, Lara, Ivanna, Erica, Michaela and Nathaniel; proud great grandmother to William and Gavin; and dear in-law to Merle Matusiak and Roma and Stefan Franko, Elsie dedicated her life to her family, her church, her culture, and her Ukrainian art and giftware business - Elsie's Exclusives. Her warm smile, friendly disposition, and creative spirit will be greatly missed. Elsie is resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke. (North of Rexdale Boulevard) for visitation on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Panakhyda Memorial Service Friday at 7:30pm. Divine Liturgy at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 La Rose Avenue, Etobicoke on Saturday at 9:30am. Interment Beechwood Cemetery, Vaughan.
Many thanks to family members, her dear caregiver Evelyn, Dr. Andrea Taylor, and the teams at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre and Juravinski Cancer Centre for her care over the last 16 months. Gratitude to Right Reverend Father John Tataryn, friend and pastor, for the lifelong spiritual support.
