Peacefully with his family at his bedside at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on July 16, 2017 in his 92nd year. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joan (née Archibald), as well as his 5 children: daughter Susan and her husband Gary of Erin, son John and his wife Betty of Oshawa, son Leslie Jr. and his wife Mary Pat of Peterborough, son Chris and his wife Joanne of Ottawa, son Brian and his wife Stacey of Whitby. He is also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A resident of Whitby, Leslie had been active with the Whitby Jr. B Lacrosse Club, Whitby Minor Baseball as well as having spent over 70 years singing with the St. Mark’s United Church choir. Visitation will be held at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL in Whitby, on Wednesday, July 19 from 7 - 9 pm and at St. Mark’s United Church, 201 Centre Street South, Whitby, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 1 - 2 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at St. Mark’s United Church at 2 pm.
